It’s been a minute sincea new PowerUp has been introducedtoVampire Survivors. Well, we have a new one to tinker with, and this one is probably going to be a favorite among fans of the game. The Seal PowerUp allows players to have control over what weapons are in the pool.

Normally, when a character increases in level they are given a choice of three or four weapons orpassive itemsfrom which to choose. The collection of weapons and items is called the pool. The Seal lets players decide what weapons will be made available during a run. It can also be used to banish (or seal) a few other items as well.
Obtaining The Seal
Getting the Seal isn’t too difficult a task, that’s not to say it’s easy either. Unlocking the Sealrequires banishing ten weapons during a run. This seems simple and straightforward; however, banishing a weapon is done instead of improving their existing weapons or selecting a new one.

Because of this, if the player banishes weapons for ten consecutive levels they might find their existing loadout is no longer potent enough to stay alive in the face of enemy waves that get stronger every minute. It’s best tostagger the banishing of weaponsto prevent the enemy horde from outpacing the player-character. A list of banished weapons is shown at the bottom of the screen when the player opens the pause menu (pressing the ESC key while playing).
Using The Seal
After unlocking the Seal it becomes available in the PowerUp section. The Seal has ten ranks. Each one needs to be purchased separately, and the price increases with each purchase. The initial price is 10,000 gold, and the price goes up by 10,000 gold per rank. The actualsealing of weapons is done in the Collectionssection accessed from the main menu.
All weapons and passive items can be toggled on or off; a red “X” appears over the items that are being sealed. Almost all the weapons and passive items inVampire Survivorscan be sealed. The Rosary, Nduja Fritta, Orologion, Vacuum, Floor Chicken, Gilded Clover, and Little Clover pickup items can also be sealed.

The weapons gained from the Gemini arcana, arcanas themselves, and relics cannot be sealed. Neither can experience gems, gold coins, coin bags, rich coin bags, and treasure chests. The Seal relic isperfect when trying out a new build. Using this new feature, a player can seal weapons and items to make the pool smaller. This offers the player a better chance ofgetting the desired weaponsand items for the build.
Sealing an evolved weapon will still make the unevolved version available. Stage (passive) items that have been sealed can still be found, and collected, in the stage; however, the playercannot increase their level. It would be nice if this feature could also be used to seal arcanas. A lot ofarcanas are only usefulwith certain types of weapons. If those weapons are sealed, the arcanas boosting them are just taking up space in the arcana pool.

Vampire Survivorswas released on Dec. 17th, 2021, for the PC and macOS.
