With the game being a little over a decade old, there are many different secrets and hidden details that are still surprising players, but sometimes the game is also known for the occasional hilarious glitch that seemingly happens out of nowhere. For some players, one second is completely normal, and then a totally bizarre glitch can spring up unexpectedly, taking the gamer out of the immersive world Bethesda built.

A Reddit user known as Awkward-Goblin ran into one of these strange glitches when all of a sudden the grass inSkyrimappeared to be freakishly tall. Many players know thatstrange happenings inSkyrimare no secret when playing the game, but this glitch is definitely one of the more random instances of strangeness.
While walking through an area of the map, the grass just randomly springs up in front of Awkward-Goblin’s character, blocking the view of the sky entirely. What makes the clip even stranger is that when Awkward-Goblin walks into a specific area, the grass shrinks back down to normal, but it sprouts up again when the player makes a slight move in a different direction. Although it’s definitelya weirdSkyrimglitch, it’s also funny to see the NPCs walking around completely oblivious to how their environment has seemingly turned into a bizarre crossover withHoney, I Shrunk the Kids.
Despite glitches sometimes being bothersome and taking a player out of a game’s immersive experience, these minor inconveniences can also be really entertaining due to the sheer randomness. With there beingso much content inSkyrim, sometimes things just don’t load or function properly, and that can create some pretty funny situations for players who have let their guard down. Many of these glitches seem to have no clear reasoning behind why they happen, and that can just add to the silliness and randomness of it all.
