Brewing potions inTerrariacan admittedly be a somewhat complicated process, but mastering the ins and outs of alchemy will give players anundeniable edge when tackling new bosses. As such, ingredients like the Moonglow come especially in handy, but can be difficult to find at times.
Moonglow is used in several potions inTerraria, so it will be in players' best interests to find this important ingredient. Of course, the next step is to create a Moonglow farm so that more and more potions can be created with this herb.

As a general rule, Moonglow only spawns in thejungle biome, but there is a trick to getting the most out of any Moonglow the player happens to find. Because of this, finding a Moonglow is only half the challenge. That said, attentive players can likely figure out how to harvest these herbs by simply paying attention to its name.
Predictably so, the Moonglow only blooms at night, meaning in order to get seeds from this herb and start a farm, the player will need to harvest it at night. As previously stated, it spawns in the jungle, both above ground and underground, and only grows naturally on Jungle Grass. It can be harvested with nearly any tool, and will drop 1 to 3 Moonglow seeds when harvested at night. At this point, it can be used to craft one of several potions, while the seeds can be planted to start a Moonglow farm. The seeds can be planted in a pot andgrow in any biome, but they do grow rather slowly since they only bloom at night.
With the Moonglow, the player will gain access to a number of useful potions. Some of the more notable options include the Invisibility Potion, the Lifeforce Potion, the Ammo Reservation Potion, and even the Gender Change Potion. Of course, each of these alsorequire a bottle of waterand other ingredients, but the Moonglow is necessary for any of these recipes.
When searching for Moonglow, be sure to do so at night, and keep an eye out for the blue, glowing aura they emit. After finding one, if the player has access to a staff of regrowth, it can be used to increase the seed yield gained from harvesting the Moonglow, thereby making it easier to start a farm. Finally, it is also possible for players to get both the herb and the seeds from the herb bag, although this is in no way areliable method of farmingthem.
