Another collectible aspect of these modes is the unique guns and armor individually tied to each mode. Thoroughly completing these modes over time also ties into completing most exotic quests that reward exotic loot players can’t get any other way. Overall, each mode ofDestiny 2gives a large selection of loot and achievements for completionists to collect and complete.

Triumphs and Cosmetics Represent The Majority of Goals For Completionists
On top ofDestiny 2’smodes and loot, the first-person, free-to-play-shooter also features collectible achievements called Triumphs. These Triumphs are categorized by lifetime, the year’s current seasons, andDestiny 2’sdifferent planets, with most accomplishments found within the lifetime category. The lifetime category is home to achievements based around a player’s selected class, subclass, various weapon use, andDestiny 2’s playlist activities like Strikes, Nightfalls, and the Crucible. Said Triumphs count toward a player’s total Triumph score, giving completionists a simple way to track just how much they have completed withinDestiny 2.
There are many other things to collect inDestiny 2beyond triumphs and their associated score system. Dedicated players can spend their time collectingcosmetics to deck out their Guardians. These cosmetics vary from profile banners to armor ornaments to Shaders that wildly change a player’s Guardian’s armor color and texture. Another cosmetic players can grind for are Seals that act as special visual badges that other Guardians can easily see at a glance. Ultimately, these seals comprise a specific selection of triumphs players must conquer to gain access.
In-Game Lore Pages Won’t Stop Players From Feeling Burnout
A more recent addition to theDestiny 2collect-a-thon for players to partake in are pages of lore that are tied to other specific triumphs. Those lore-specific triumphs are usually tied to certain story mission completions within a current season’s story mission structure. Each lore page combines into a complete book of lore that tells an extended backstory depending on the context of the unlocked lore book. With hundreds oflore pages found inDestiny 2’s modes and missions, diehard players get to collect something that also expands the scope of their gameplay through meaningful story additions.
While it is true thatDestiny 2is a perfect game for completionists, only some completionists will findDestiny 2their perfect game. Some players find thatDestiny 2’s grind has too much fillerand takes players an unfair amount of time for what little accomplishment they receive in return for their efforts.
