The Dragon Aspects of Azeroth are at the forefront ofWorld of Warcraft’s story once again, but they seem to be in shambles. After giving up their ancestral power at the end ofCataclysm, the Dragon Aspects have been searching for their purpose in this world. Some of the flights have been disbanded, and a couple of the Aspects have perished. WhileWorld of Warcraftplayers will be spending much of their time inDragonflighthelping to restore the flights to their former glory, some things may get a bit worse before they can get better.
One of the biggest plot threads ofDragonflightis the impending dark fate of the Bronze Dragon Aspect Nozdormu. Players have known for years now that Nozdormu is destined to fall into madness, and there does not seem to be a way to prevent this. He has tried to see other outcomes, but this seems to be his destiny. It haunts him, and it is a constant lingering presencethroughout the Thaldraszus campaign. It seems like this future is fast approaching, and Azeroth will most likely suffer if it comes to fruition.

Nozdormu’s Role on Azeroth
Nozdormu isone of the original Dragon Aspectsthat was empowered by the titans to watch over Azeroth. He was given the task of safeguarding the one true timeline, and was granted the ability to travel through time itself. He leads the Bronze Dragonflight on their mission to protect time, and many of them live secluded within the Caverns of Time in Tanaris. He seldom makes his presence known on Azeroth, and will only appear to mortals when the one true timeline is threatened.
Protecting the timeways is no easy feat, as forces are constantly trying to unravel it. Nozdormu has spent much of his life on the frontlines fighting anyone that wishes to disrupt the flow of time, and his flight has enlisted players many times to help them keep things together. WhileChromie often serves as the representativeof the Bronze Dragonflight, Nozdormu’s presence is always lingering. InDragonflight, he becomes the center of attention once again as players actively work alongside him to empower the Bronze Oathstone to ensure that the Bronze Dragonflight has a future.
The Dark Future of Nozdormu
At some unknown point in Nozdormu’s life, he is fated to becometwisted by the Old Gods' lies. Since his role in life is to protect the timeways and ensure things flow correctly, he spends much of his life exploring time. He has perused multiple futures, pasts, and presents during his mission to protect Azeroth. One such future that he explored sees him become the dreaded leader of the Infinite Dragonflight Murozond. This dragonflight does not seek to protect the timeways like the Bronze Dragonflight does, but it wishes to destroy them instead.
The fight against the Infinite Dragonflight is one of the main focuses of the Bronze Dragonflight. While one tries to disrupt the timeways and cause havoc, the other desperately tries to keep things together. As they fight across time, Nozdormu searches for ways to avoid his grim future. He has tried desperately to find ways to circumvent this dark fate, but he has failed to discover anything. It seems like this is his destiny, and the heroes of Azeroth will have to prepare to eventually take down their trusted ally.
The day that Nozdormu is supposed to take up the mantle of Murozond and undo what he has pledged his life to protect is fast approaching, and players are anxiously waiting to see how this all plays out. It will likely be amajor focus of theDragonflightnarrative, but it is unclear if it will reach its conclusion here or if it will lead into a much larger war for time itself.
