Additionally, this buff only affects characters from levels 10 through 59. The Winds of Wisdom buff ends with the launch ofShadowlandsSeason 4, which provides aremix on theWorld of Warcraftexpansion’s raids and Mythic dungeons. Players currently have about a week to benefit from the buff to level the last of their alts.
TheClassic World of WarcraftJoyous Journeys buff, however, is less limited. The experience boost is available for all characters up through the current max level cap of 70. Though the Joyous Journeys buff does not have a set end date yet,World of Warcraftstated it planned to run for six to eight weeks. This means the experience buff will likely run nearly tothe launch ofWrath of the Lich King Classic, possibly ending at the start of the pre-patch event.
Players are already trying to get the most out of the respective experience boosts. Both retail andClassic World of Warcrafthave always encouraged alternate characters, and these experience buffs are great chances to level up extra characters. The Joyous Journeys buff in particular gives players a long window in which toprepare forWrath of the Lich King Classic, a remaster of one of the most belovedWorld of Warcraftexpansions.
However, many players are disappointed the Winds of Wisdom buff only lasts for two weeks this time around. WhileShadowlandsSeason 4 will offer plenty of interesting content for raiders and Mythic dungeon players, casual players won’t have much to do forfour or more months untilDragonflightreleases, assuming it can meet its ambitious 2022 plans. With luck,World of Warcraftwill run another experience boost event after Season 4 concludes shortly beforeDragonflight.
