A weekly quest inWorld of Warcraftis dropping hints for some major plot arcs coming inDragonflightPatch 10.1. This easy-to-miss weekly quest inWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflightliterally digs deep into the history of the Dragon Isles and some of its oldest inhabitants. In theWaking Shores zone ofDragonflight, players can find a neutral Djaradin NPC named Tarjin the Blind. By speaking to him, players learn the tale of how he lost his eyesight battling a red dragon, and how he left the Djaradin to pursue his mastery of earth and fire. Players can also accept the weekly quest, Tarjin’s Tales, which allows players to hear Djaradin legends in exchange for five Impressive Dragon Skulls, obtained from rare dragon mobs across the Dragon Isles.RELATED:World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Hints at Old Gods Coming BackEach week, Tarjin shares a new story of the Djaradin’s history with players. One tells the story of a Vrykul warlord who once crashed on theForbidden Reach zone fromDragonflightand became an honorary Djaradin, while another tells of a Qalashi warlord who conquered the other Djaradin tribes by honing her tribe’s strength by fighting only the strongest of foes: dragons.

However, some of the tales cover an interesting topic thatcould become relevant inDragonflightPatch 10.1. Tarjin tells the player about the Elders–four Djaradin shamans who burrowed deep into the earth to gain command over earth and fire. These Elders shaped the Djaradin with this power, only to be eventually defeated by the “honorless guile” of Neltharion. According to legends, the Elders were not slain but rather retreated into the earth to recover their strength.

The most recent of Tarjin’s Tales ties these stories altogether. The Qalashi warlord retreated into the earth to entreat the slumbering Elders for the power to defeat the Aspects, only to find Iridikron, thePrimal Incarnate of Earth and next major antagonist ofDragonflight. The two struck a bargain, leading to an alliance between the Djaradin and the Primalists. However, Tarjin makes it clear the Djaradin plan to slay the Primalist proto-dragons as soon as the dragonflights are wiped out.

Tarjin’s Tales are interesting for manyWorld of Warcraftlore hounds. A lot of hints inDragonflighthave pointed towards Patch 10.1 bringing players to an underground zone, and the Qalashi warlord and the four Djaradin elders might end up being major characters and raid bosses in the near future. Players won’t have to wait long to find out–according toWorld of Warcraft’srecent roadmap for 2023, fans will know where they are going in Patch 10.1 during the story chapter coming in Patch 10.0.7 in the spring.
