Yanfei is one of the few selfish DPS characters available inGenshin Impact. As she owns a Pyro Vision, she has a lot of potential when it comes to Elemental Reactions. Players can pair Yanfei with a Hydro unit for Vaporize, a Cryo support for Melt, or even an Electro character for Overload. Other than that, as the legal adviser is highly-reliant on her Elemental Burst, she’ll also need a battery. For this job, the most viableGenshin Impactunit would be Bennett.
With Yanfei being available in several banners, players may finally decide to raise the half-Adeptus as theirmainGenshin ImpactDPS. In that case, then they’ll need to prepare Yanfei’s ascension materials and talent level-up books.
Leveling Materials
As a main DPS, Travelers should fully upgrade Yanfei. For this, they’ll need almost 1.7 million Mora to get her to level 90.

Because she was available on Version 1.5 – shortly after Hu Tao andXiao’s release inGenshin Impact, Yanfei also needsJuvenile Jadefor her boss drop. Meanwhile, the local specialty she uses for her ascension isNoctilucous Jade, which of course can be found in Liyue.

To get the Pyro stoneAgnidus Agate, players can defeat these bosses:
*Azhdaha and the Primo Geovishap can only drop Agnidus Agate when they’re aligned with Pyro.
Enemy Drop - Where to Find Treasure Hoarder Insignias
For the Insignia drop, people have to defeatTreasure Hoarders. Usually, they can be found around human camps or ruins. At times, they can be seen collaborating with other “crooks” like the Kairagis.

Boss Drop - How to Get Juvenile Jade
The Primo Geovishap can be found in Liyue, under the ruin north of Nantianmen. If players are planning to farm this boss, then they can consider putting a Portable Teleport Waypoint near the giant Vishap.
Local Specialty - Where to Find Noctilucous Jade
Like many other ore-like items,Noctilucous Jadecomes from destroying Noctilucous Jade nodes. ThisGenshin Impactspecialty is often found in caves and cliffsides. The most notable places include Mingyun Village, on top of Mt. Tianheng, and east of the Noblesse Oblige artifact domain (Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern). Other than that, players can buy five Jades fromShitoufor 1,000 Mora each. This merchant lives in Liyue Harbor, and his stand can be found across the Third-Round Knockout restaurant.
Yanfei Talent Materials
Similar to Xingqiu, Xinyan, Zhongli, and Beidou, Yanfei also needs the Gold books to upgrade her talent. For her main DPS role, it’s highly recommended to upgrade all of Yanfei’s skills. The talent level-up materials Yanfei needs belong to theGoldseries. This book is available in Taishan Mansion on Wednesday and Saturday. Of course, on Sunday, this domain will contain all the available talent books, including Gold ones.
Trounce Materials - Bloodjade Branch
Azhdaha’s rewards can be obtained once a week,and Yanfei uses one of them for her talents. The legal advisor needs the Bloodjade Branch.
