DespiteTears of the Kingdombuilding upon and incorporating many elements of theopen world ofBreath of the Wild, the Divine Beasts were an aspect from the 2017 game that remained absent in the sequel. These mechanical behemoths, known as Vah Ruta, Vah Rudania, Vah Naboris, and Vah Medoh, were built by the Sheikah and functioned similarly to the dungeons seen in the series. Due to the open-ended design of Hyrule in the game, players could challenge these four hulking machines in any order they liked. Recently, one fan recreated a couple of Divine Beasts in a more blocky form.
In a post on Reddit, a user known as jheewee shared images of their LEGO set concepts for Divine Beasts Vah Medoh and Vah Naboris. These impressive models were made using Bricklink Studio and showcased the potential these Divine Beasts had for becoming physical LEGO sets if Nintendo ever showed interest. In the post, one of the pictures provided a side-by-side comparison between the LEGO models and the in-game versions ofBreath of the Wild’s Divine Beasts, showing how jheewee managed to replicate virtually every element of the original designs.
In the comments, the creator revealed there were no instructions available for building the models. However, they said they would consider making some if the demand was high enough. According to the Rebrickable pages for the LEGO models, Vah Naboris featured 134 different parts, with a total of 790 composing the build. Meanwhile, Vah Medoh contained even more unique parts at 208, with the completed creation requiring 1,253 LEGO bricks.
It is worth pointing out that jheewee is no stranger to designing potential LEGO sets. The player has already made a Bokoblin and Guardian fromBreath of the Wild. Furthermore, they created a custom version of Yoshi based on theofficialSuper Mario-themed LEGO sets. That being said, these latest Divine Beast models seem to be the largest the creator has attempted to design based on the number of pieces.
While there is no news of Nintendo releasing LEGOs based onBreath of the Wild’s Divine Beasts, new rumors suggest thatZeldafans could have the chance to buy a newset based onOcarina of Time’s Great Deku Treein the future. However, nothing has been confirmed by either LEGO or Nintendo, meaning fans will have to wait and see if it becomes a reality. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if jheewee decides to create the other Divine Beasts, Vah Rudania and Vah Ruta.
