Some Shrines inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomdon’t ask much of the player except tocomplete a combat tutorialor a short physics challenge. Others require players to think outside the box a little and use the game’s new mechanics to their fullest potential.

While it might not seem like the most complex mechanic, the Ascend ability is the one Link will find most useful here. InTears of the Kingdom’sDomizuin Shrine, though, abilities don’t matter as much as knowing how to orient a gigantic cube, one that has to be positioned perfectly by using two rotation devices instead of Ultrahand.
Domizuin Shrine Location
Domizuin Shrine is found atop Akkala Citadel Ruinsin the Akkala Highlands region. It’s arguably the most eye-catching feature of the region, and it can be most easily reached by taking theUlri Mountain Skyview Tower to the skyand gliding down to its peak.
The Shrine is on the far end of the top of this mesa, so glide as far as Link can go and consider bringing some stamina-restoring food to keep him aloft longer. Players can also climb up to it from the base of the Citadel Ruins, but there are a lot of enemies in the way, and it’s much easier to just avoid them all.

Domizuin Shrine Walkthrough – “A Prone Pathway”
Once inside, head down the stairs and use Ascend on the pillar above the end of the walkway. This pillar isn’t climbable, and using Ascend here hints at the puzzle’s solution. After getting to the top, head forward to see a giant cube with several holes and exits carved out of it.

Link’s goal in this Shrine is to rotate it in such a way as to be able to Ascend through its ceiling, asthe end of thisTotKShrineis found at the top of the room.
Hit the rotational device once to rotate the cube right and reveal an opening, then walk inside the cube. The pillar that needs to be rotated should be on the bottom left, while the interior chest should be on top of a pillar to the right.

Stand on the platform next to the inner rotational device, then fire an arrow at the original one – totaling two hits on the first rotational device. Then, hit the inner rotational device until the cube rotates around and the long pillar touches the ceiling.
Walk into the space between the pillar and the floor and use Ascend to reach the outside of the cube. Then, just turn around the jump onto the ramp that leads to the end of the Shrine. After finishing the Shrine, go back and get the chests, as getting them requires orienting the cube in different ways than the solution requires.

How To Get The Domizuin Shrine Secret Chests
There are three Chests in the Domizuin Shrine – one inside the cube and two outside on platforms. The first one is easy enough to grab, as the player just needs to rotate the cube once via the first rotation device, walk in, and use Ascend below the pillar jutting out of the wall on the right. However, the otherchest is not so simple.
For the other chests, rotate the cube so that there is an opening on the floor next to their respective platforms, one at a time. One of the chests will be directly where Link lands, while the other requires him to aim for a lower platform.

Climb the ladder here to reach the chest. Players can also reach these chests after getting on top of the cube, as they can simply glide down the side rather than worry about re-orienting it. If the Shrine is already completed, just glide back to the entrance to leave.
For their efforts, players are given a pile of Arrows, a Zonai Charge, and a Strong Zonai Shield.
